In 2021, I illustrated the cover and interior of Mr Spicebag by Freddie Alexander. The book was nominated for Children's Book of the Year in the An Post Irish Book Awards 2021. The cover and promotional illustration are in full colour, while the interior illustrations are all in black and white.
The Roald Dahl-esque story for 8–12 year olds is offbeat and a little dark, so I wanted illustrations to reflect this.
